Bayerische Alpen - 4
When traveling to the Alps you encounter them quite suddenly. If you have time to get out before entering this mountainous region you can see the stark contrast of the hilly countryside and the sometimes sharp geomitry of the peaks. If you take a close look you can distuingish them from the clouds even when it's cloudy.

On your way back from the Hut you should not forget to take a final glance at the magnificant view of some valley parts. As the path crawls down you will get to see many views like this. As the paths covers almost every angle every corner offers a new face. This is something why a mountain walk stays interesting from foot to top and during your way back.
Bear in mind that it can be exhausting, take enough water with you and before you undertake such an walk you need to have a decent breakfast. The earlier you start your trip the less chance of dehydration problems. The whole walk can easily take up for most part of the day (4-6 hours).

This is the view you get at one the right side when sitting on the Terrace at the TegernSeeer Hut. They serve quite good meals which are more than worth the money and the mountain peaks when looking more southwards to the Austrian Mountains. This region is spoilt with beatifull lakes laying between some mountains and some even up to 2900 meters!
